Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Diecast-o-meter at diecastometer.com and app.diecastometer.com and the Diecast-o-meter Helper browser extension (together, the “service”). By creating an account you agree to them. Contact: hello@diecastometer.com.

1. The service

Diecast-o-meter helps you keep a catalogue of your diecast models and estimate their market value from eBay listings that you review and approve. The service is in beta: features may change, and we may limit sign-ups to people with an invite.

2. Your account

• You need a valid email address. One account per person.
• Keep access to your email and Google account secure — they are how you sign in.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account.

3. Your content

Everything you add — items, photos, notes, prices — stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to run the service for you (for example, to make thumbnails and back it up). Only upload photos you have the right to use. You can export or delete your content at any time.

4. Fair use

Don’t misuse the service. In particular, don’t:

• break the law, infringe others’ rights, or upload malicious, illegal or offensive content;
• try to access other people’s data, probe or overload our systems, or get around plan limits or rate limits;
• scrape the service or resell it without our written permission.

When the Helper searches eBay on your behalf, it does so in your browser and your eBay session; your use of eBay remains subject to eBay’s own terms.

5. Prices and estimates

Values in Diecast-o-meter are estimates based on listings you chose to approve and on public exchange rates. They are for your information only — not an appraisal, an offer to buy, or financial advice — and we don’t guarantee that any item will sell for that amount.

6. Plans and payments

• The Free plan costs nothing. Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly at the price shown before you pay.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it handles payment, invoices, sales tax/VAT and payment-related customer service, and its buyer terms apply to your purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
• If we change prices, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price.
• If you go back to Free while over its limits, nothing is deleted: your items and photos stay viewable, editable and exportable, but you can’t add more until you’re under the limit or upgrade again.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

7. The Helper extension

The free Helper extension reads eBay search results only when you start a price check, and only passes them to your open Diecast-o-meter tab. It never buys, bids, messages or posts. See the Helper privacy page.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and your data backed up, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever shut the service down, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice to export your data.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, telling you why where we can. Paid time is refunded pro rata if we close your account without cause.

10. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract.

11. Trademarks

Diecast-o-meter is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by eBay Inc., Mattel, Inc. or any other brand mentioned in the service. Hot Wheels, Matchbox and other names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe the items you collect.

12. Law and changes to these terms

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. If we change the terms in a meaningful way, we’ll let you know at least 14 days before the change takes effect; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
